Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of oral implant restoration on patients with dentition defect. Methods A total of 88 patients with dentition defect admitted to Jiaolai Central Health Center, Jiaolai Street, Jiaozhou City from January to July 2023 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 44 patients in each group. The control group was given conventional restoration, and the observation group was given oral implant restoration on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, periodontal repair status, comfort and aesthetic satisfaction, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 93.18%, which was higher than 72.73% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of language function, masticatory function and fixation function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The comfort and aesthetic satisfaction of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 4.55%, which was lower than 18.18% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Oral implant restoration is effective in patients with dentition defect, which can promote the recovery of periodontal function, reduce the risk of related complications, and improve their comfort and satisfaction.
