Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of dental implant in the repairing distal extension removable partial denture. Methods A total of 50 patients with distal extension removable partial denture admitted to our hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected and divided into control group and experimental group according to the random number table method, with 25 patients in each group. The control group was treated with denture restoration, and the experimental group was treated with dental implant technology. The clinic effect, quality of life, masticatory function and oral health level of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was 96.00%, which was higher than 72.00% in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of mental health, physiological function and social function in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The masticatory function score of the experimental group was (7.63±0.78)scores, which was lower than (8.92±0.91) scores of the control group (P <0.05). The periodontal index, gingival index, gingival sulcus repair index and plaque index of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The effect of dental implant in the repairing distal extension removable partial denture is better, which can improve the quality of life, improve masticatory function and reduce the level of oral inflammation.
