Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of cryotherapy in patients with ocular plastic surgery and its effect on sleep quality. Methods A total of 100 patients who underwent eye plastic surgery in our hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into routine group and cryotherapy group by random number table method, with 50 patientsin each group. The routine group was given routine treatment after operation, and the cryotherapy group was given cryotherapy after operation. The pain degree, sleep quality, quality of life and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The VAS score of the cryotherapy group was lower than that of the routine group at 3 days after operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The PSQI score of the cryotherapygroup was higher than that of the routine at 3 days after operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The SF-36 score of the cryotherapy group was higher than that of the routine group at 3 days after operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the cryotherapy group was 4.00%, which was lower than 16.00% in the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of cryotherapy in patients with ocular plastic surgery is effective, which can reduce the temperature of ocular tissue after operation, reduce inflammatory reaction, promote wound healing and tissue repair. Meanwhile, it can effectively relieve ocular muscle tension and pain, improve the sleep quality of patients, and help to promote postoperative recovery, so as to further improve the quality of life of patients.
