Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of high quality nursing on the aesthetics of patients with maxillofacial orthodontics. Methods A total of 100 patients with maxillofacial orthodontics admitted to our hospital from January to December 2023 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given high quality nursing. The dental aesthetic score, psychological status, satisfaction, clinical index and dental function score were compared between the two groups. Results The WES and PES score of the observation group were better than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The SAS and SDS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The scores of tooth aesthetics and nursing satisfaction in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The suture removal time and hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The scores of language, masticatory and swallowing function in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion For patients with maxillofacial orthodontics, high quality nursing can improve the dental aesthetics and satisfaction, dental function, improve their negative emotions, and have positive significance for promoting postoperative recovery.
