Objective: To analyze the effect of combined periodontal basic treatment and orthodontic treatment for the patients with anterior tooth displacement caused by periodontal disease. Methods: A total of 60 patients with anterior tooth displacement due to periodontal disease were selected and treated in our hospital from May 2019.05 to May 2024.05. The patients were grouped 1:1 by single blind grouping method. The routine group and the study group were given periodontal basic treatment alone and orthodontic therapy, respectively, and the treatment results were compared. Results: The effective rate and pain degree of the study group were higher than those of the conventional group (P<0.05). The periodontal indexes of the study group were (2.61±1.18) mm, (2.45±1.11) mm, (5.05±0.07) mm, (3.50±0.25) mm and (25.31±4.16) %, respectively, which were better than those of the conventional group. The difference was significant (T=7.239, 5.954, 6.433, 3.653, 20.378). The scores of chewing function, fixation, comfort and aesthetics in the study group were (3.36±0.29) points, (3.45±0.43) points, (4.62±0.37) points and (3.43±0.21) points, respectively, which were higher than those in the conventional group (T=4.863, 8.792, 12.141, 3.991). Conclusion: When choosing orthodontic treatment for patients with anterior tooth displacement caused by periodontal disease, it can obtain better treatment results than single periodontal basic treatment.
