Abstract:Keloid scars mainly include hyperplastic scar, keloid, depressed scar, atrophic scar and superficial scar, whose pathogenesis is closely related to the excessive proliferation and differentiation of fibroblasts, abnormal apoptosis, deposition of collagen and abnormal proliferation of local blood vessels. Currently, there are many treatments for keloid scars, but there are still major limitations. Nowadays, combination therapy is mostly used to inhibit scar proliferation in clinical practice, but a unified treatment protocol has not been formulated at present. In recent years, it has been found that herbal compound combined with CO2 fractional laser treatment for keloid scarring can enhance the efficacy of scar repair, reduce the recurrence rate, and improve the safety, but the technique deserves further exploration. In this paper, we summarize and analyze the related literature to give a review on the research progress of Chinese herbal compound combined with CO2 fractional laser treatment of scar.
