Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of porcelain laminate veneer in repairing dental fluorosis and its influence on periodontal health. Methods A total of 82 patients with dental fluorosis admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and study group by random number table method, with 41 patients in each group. The control group was treated with porcelain crown, and the study group was treated with porcelain laminate veneer. The aesthetic repair effect, periodontal health index and complications were compared between the two groups. Results After repair, the color, shape, edge beauty and semi-transparency scores of the teeth in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). After repair the GI, BI and PD of the study group were lower than those of the cont rol group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group was 4.88%, which was lower than 29.27% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of porcelain laminate veneer for oral aesthetic restoration in the treatment of dental fluorosis has better aesthetic repair effect, which can improve the periodontal health index of patients, and reduce the incidence of complications. I t is worthy of clinical application.
