Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of bracketless invisible appliance in orthodontics. Methods A total of 72 patients with tooth deformity treated in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 36 patients in each group. The control group was treated with traditional metal bracket appliance, and the observation group was treated with bracketless invisible appliance. The periodontal index, PRA score and efficacy satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The plaque index, gingival index, gingival bleeding index and probing depth of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P <0.05). The scores of anterior teeth arrangement, posterior teeth arrangement, coverage and midline in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in occlusal relationship and overbite score between the observation group and the control group (P >0.05). The scores of aesthetic comfort, chewing function, convenience, language function and fixed function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of bracketless invisible appliance in orthodontic can effectively improve the orthodontic effect, improve the aesthetics, and the patient satisfaction is high, which is worthy of clinical application.
