Objective To explore the effect of high quality nursing in the nursing process of patients with herpes zoster and its influence on sleep quality and quality of life. Methods A total of 80 patients with herpes zoster admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given high quality nursing on the basis of the control group. The comfort, sleep quality, quality of life, pain degree and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results The comfort score of the observation group after nursing was higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). The sleep quality score of the observation group after nursing was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The quality of life score of the observation group after nursing was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The nursing VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction scores and total scores of service attitude, nursing operation, environmental maintenance and health education in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of high quality nursing in the nursing of patients with herpes zoster is effective, which can effectively improve the comfort of patients, improve their sleep quality and quality of life, and the satisfaction of patients and their families with nursing services is high.
