Abstract:Objective To study the effect of continuous nursing on anxiety and satisfaction of elderly patients with oral implant restoration. Methods A total of 110 elderly patients with oral implant restoration treated in our hospital from September 2020 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 55 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given continuous nursing. The anxiety, nursing satisfaction, peri-implant health status [sulcus bleeding index (SBI), probing depth (PD), plaque index (PLI)] and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The MDAS scores of the two groups after nursing was lower than that before nursing, and that of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 98.18%, which was higher than 85.45% of the control group (P <0.05). The SBI, PD and PLI of the observation group were smaller than those of the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 7.27%, which was lower than 16.36% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Continuous nursing intervention can improve the anxiety of elderly patients with oral implant restoration, improve nursing satisfaction, promote implant periodontal health, and prevent related complications.
