Abstract:As a minimally invasive surgical method, the middle face lifting technique using the lower eyelid margin incision has developed rapidly since it was proposed in the 20th century. The lower eyelid incision approach can improve the aging of the periorbital region and the middle face at the same time, such as removing the pouch, solving the lacrimal groove deformity, deepening the nasolabial groove, and sagging the middle face. Therefore, it is popular in the field of facial rejuvenation. At present, there is a lack of systematic exposition of this procedure in China. This article reviews the mechanism of aging in the midface andthe development and clinical application of midface lifting technique through lower eyelid margin incision, in order to provide some reference for clinical researchers.
