The neat and white anterior teeth have an important influence on the shaping of personal self-confidence and social image. Therefore, the aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth is of great significance and has become an important branch of the current field of prosthodontics. As a commonly used aesthetic restoration technique for anterior teeth, porcelain laminate veneer has attracted much attention due to its significant advantages and application value, including its high simulation, good biocompatibility, and fewer complications. Based on this, this paper reviews the application progress ofporcelain laminate veneer in aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth, including its aesthetic effect, restoration technology, indications and other aspects, aiming to provide more comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of porcelain laminate veneerrestoration for prosthodontists and promote the further development of aesthetic restoration technology of anterior teeth.
