Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect of levator palpebrae superioris muscle folding combined with lower eyelid relaxation plastic surgery in the treatment of senile lower eyelid relaxation. Methods A total of 42 patients with senile lower eyelid relaxation admitted to our hospital from February 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 21 patients in each group. The control group was treated with conventional lower eyelid relaxation plastic surgery, and the observation group was treated with levator palpebrae superioris muscle folding combined with lower eyelid relaxation plastic surgery. The clinical efficacy, periocular skin score, complications and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.24%, which was higher than 76.19% in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of periocular skin color, fishtail lines and baggy eye in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were higher than the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 9.52%, which was lower than 23.81% in the control group (P <0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the observation group was 100.00%, which was higher than 80.95% of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion For patients with lower eyelid relaxation, levator palpebrae superioris muscle folding combined with lower eyelid relaxation plastic surgery can improve the clinical efficacy, improve the condition of periocular relaxation, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve the patient's treatment satisfaction. It is worthy of clinical application.
