Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of cosmetic suture technique in maxillofacial trauma surgery. Methods From February 2021 to March 2024, 100 patients who underwent maxillofacial trauma plastic surgery in our hospital were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into conventional group and experimental group, with 50 patients in each group. The conventional group was treated with conventional suture technique, and the experimental group was treated with cosmetic suture technique. The clinical indexes, incision suture effect, wound healing score and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation, edema, wound healing and suture removal time of the experimental group were shorter than those of the conventional group (P <0.05). The total effective rate of incision suture in the experimental group was 98.00%, which was higher than 76.00% in the conventional group (P <0.05). The color, thickness, softness, vascular distribution score and total score of the experimental group were lower than those of the conventional group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the experimental group was 4.00%, which was lower than 22.00% in the conventional group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application value of cosmetic suture technique in maxillofacial trauma surgery is high, which can not only accelerate the postoperative recovery of patients, improve the aesthetics of incision suture, but also effectively reduce the risk of scar formation and complications.
