Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of intradermal suture in the treatment of emergency facial trauma. Methods A total of 80 patients with facial trauma who were treated in the emergency department of our hospital from August 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into conventional group and study group by random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. Both groups were given basic preoperative preparation. The conventional group was treated with intermittent suture, and the study group was treated with intradermal suture. The pain degree, wound healing effect, scar condition and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The VAS score of the study group was lower than that of the conventional group at 1 and 3 days after operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The total effective rate of wound healing in the study group was higher than that in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of scar color, vascular distribution, thickness and softness in the study group were lower than those in the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of intradermal suture in emergency facial trauma treatment can effectively improve the wound healing effect, reduce the pain degree of patients, reduce scar formation, and reduce the incidence of complications, which is worthy of clinical application.
