Abstract:Objective To study the effect of digital impression technology on therestoration of anterior tooth defect. Methods A total of 90 patients with anterior tooth defect admitted to Shanghai Jiading District Central Hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the study subjects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 45 patients in each group. The control group was treated with traditional impression technology, and the observation group was treated with digital impression technology. The repair effect, modified bleeding index (mSBI), masticatory function (OHIP-14 scale score), pain degree (VAS score), maxillofacial aesthetics and marginal fit of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of repair in the observation group was 97.78%, which was higher than 84.44% in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the mSBI, OHIP-14 scale score, VAS score and maxillofacial aesthetics score of the two groups were better than those before treatment, and those of the observation group were better than those of the control group (P <0.05). The excellent and good rate of restoration edge sealing in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion In the anterior tooth defect restoration, digital impression technology can improve the clinical symptoms and masticatory function of patients, as well as the dental appearance and the tightness of periodontal tissue.
