Abstract:Objective To analyze the application effect of silicone combined with expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (E-PTFE) in rhinoplasty. Methods From March 2022 to March 2023, 60 patients who underwent rhinoplasty in Shantou Medical Cosmetology Clinic were randomly divided into reference group and analysis group, with 30 patients in each group. The reference group was treated with silicone prosthesis for augmentation rhinoplasty, and the analysis group was treated with silicone combined with E-PTFE for augmentation rhinoplasty. The nasal shaping related indicators, complications and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The nasal root height, nasal facial angle and nasal tip angle of the analysis group were higher than those of the reference group at 12 months after operation (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the analysis group was lower than that in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the analysis group was higher than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Inrhinoplasty, silica gel combined with E-PTFE can improve the nasal shaping effect, reduce the incidence of complications and improve patients' treatment satisfaction.
