Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect and safety of prefabricated fiber post for oral restoration. Methods A total of 120 patients with oral restoration admitted to Xingyi People's Hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into conventional group and observation group by random number table method, with 60 patients in each group. The conventional group was treated with conventional cast metal post, and the observation group was treated with prefabricated fiber post. The clinical efficacy, treatment time, bone thickness, bone graft thickness, periodontal improvement, bite force and masticatory function, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.67%, which was higher than 85.00% in the conventional group (P <0.05). The treatment time of single nuclear pile and oral restoration time in the observation group were less than those in the conventional group (P <0.05). The bone thickness and bone graft thickness of the observation group were higher than those of the conventional group (P <0.05). The periodontal pocket depth, gingival sulcus bleeding index and plaque index in the observation group were lower than those in the conventional group (P <0.05). The bite force and masticatory efficiency of the observation group were higher than those of the conventional group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the conventional group (P <0.05). Conclusion The therapeutic effect and safety of prefabricated fiber post for oral restoration are high. It can effectively improve the periodontal health status of patients, promote the recovery of oral function as soon as possible, and reduce bone resorption, which is worthy of clinical application.
