Objective To analyze the effect of moist exposed burn ointment combined with ethacridine lactate wet compress on patients with chronic wounds. Methods A total of 50 patients with chronic wounds admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to April 2023 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 25 patients in each group. The control group was given routine treatment, and the observation group was given moist exposed burn ointment combined with ethacridine lactate wet compress. The clinical efficacy, wound area, inflammatory factor level, quality of life, wound healing time, pain degree and sleep quality were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.00%, which was higher than 76.00% in the control group (P <0.05). The wound area of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group after 1, 3 and 5 weeks of treatment (P <0.05). After treatment, the levels of CRP, TNF-α, IL-8 and IL-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of physical function, social function, psychological function and material life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The wound healing time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the VAS score and PSQI score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of moist exposed burn ointment combined with ethacridine lactate wet compress in patients with chronic wounds is effective, which can improve the therapeutic effect, reduce the wound area, reduce the inflammatory response, improve the quality of life and sleep of patients, and accelerate the wound healing speed. It is worthy of clinical application.
