Objective To explore the effect of trehalose liquid dressing on non-chronic wounds after periocular laser treatment. Methods Sixty patients who received periocular laser treatment in our hospital from October 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the research objects. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into control group and experimental group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group was treated with medical sodium hyaluronate repair paste, and the experimental group was treated with trehalose liquid dressing. The pain, wound condition, skin barrier function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The VAS score of the experimental group was (2.53±0.62)scores, which was lower than (3.82±0.75)scores of the control group; the duration of pain in the experimental group was (1.65±0.33)h, which was shorter than (2.21±0.42)h in the control group (P <0.05). The decrustation time of the experimental group was (10.45±1.83)h, which was shorter than (14.21±2.42)h of the control group (P <0.05). The skin symptom score of the experimental group was (3.36±0.78)scores, which was lower than (5.75±0.92)scores of the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). The transcutaneous water loss of the experimental group at 72 h after treatment was lower than that of the control group, and the water content of the stratum corneum was higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was lower than that in the control gr oup, but the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). Conclusion Trehalose liquid dressing has a definite effect on non-chronic wounds after periocular laser treatment, which can reduce the pain degree and shorten the duration of non-chronic wounds, effectively improve the skin condition of patients, and will not increase the incidence of adverse reactions. It is worthy of clinical application.
