Deep overbite and gummy smile are very common in clinical practice. One of the reasons is the excessive vertical development of the anterior teeth area, so it often needs to be solved by intrusion of anterior teeth. At present, there are many methods of intrusion of anterior teeth, which are roughly divided into dental anchorage, micro-implant anchorage and mixed anchorage according to the types of anchorage. This article reviews the methods and effects of different anchorages for intrusion of anterior teeth, in order to provide reference for clinicians.
