Abstract:Objective To observe the application value of orthodontics combined with oral implantation in the clinical treatment of dentition defect. Methods A total of 86 patients with dentition defect admitted to Shanghe County People's Hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were randomly divided into reference group and experimental group, with 43 patients in each group. The reference group was treated with oral implantation, and the experimental group was treated with orthodontics combined with oral implantation. The clinical efficacy, oral function recovery, cosmetic effect and periodontal index were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was 97.67%, which was higher than 83.72% in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The scores of masticatory function, tooth comfort, language function and stability in the experimental group were higher than those in the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The proportion of comfortable occlusion, neatly arranged teeth, good adjacency relationship, good anterior teeth coverage and overjet in the experimental group was higher than that in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). After treatment, PI, BI and PD in the experimental group were lower than those in the reference group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Orthodontic combined with oral implantation is effective in the treatment of dentition defect, which is beneficial to improve the periodontal health, promote the recovery of oral function, and improve the cosmetic effect. It is worthy of clinical application.
