Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of oral cleaning nursing in plastic and maxillofacial surgery and its influence on patients' sensory comfort and cleaning effect. Methods A total of 150 patients undergoing plastic and maxillofacial surgery in our hospital from September 2021 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects. According to different nursing methods, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 75patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given oral cleaning nursing on the basis ofthecontrol group. The sensory comfort, cleaning effect, pain, inflammatory factor levels and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total comfort degree of the observation group was 97.33%, which was higher than 85.33% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The cleaning effect score of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). After nursing, the levels of TNF-α and IL-8 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 1.33%, which was lower than 13.33% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of oral cleaning nursing for patients undergoing plastic and maxillofacial surgery is accurate, which can improve their sensory comfort, ensure the cleaning effect, reduce the degree of pain, and alleviate oral inflammation.
