Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of comprehensive nursing on patients with fascial space infection of maxillofacial regions and its influence on restriction of mouth opening. Methods A total of 98 patients with fascial space infection of maxillofacial regions admitted to our hospital from July 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 49 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given comprehensive nursing. The psychological state, self-efficacy, mouth opening recovery effect and OHIP-14 score were compared between the two groups. Results The SAS and SDS scores of the observation group after nursing were lower than those of the control group (P <0.05). The GSES score of the observation group after nursing was higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). The total effective rate of mouth opening recovery in the observation group was 95.92%, which was higher than 83.67% in the control group (P <0.05). The OHIP-14 score of the observation group after nursing was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion For patients with fascial space infection of maxillofacial regions, comprehensive nursing can improve their psychological state and self-efficacy, improve the recovery effect of mouth opening, promote oral health, and improve the quality of life of patients.
