Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of orthodontic combined with oral restoration and its effect on aesthetic satisfaction in patients with dentition defect. Methods A total of 92 patients with dentition defect admitted to the Department of Stomatology, Wuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2020 to October 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method, with 46 patients in each group. The control group was treated with oral restoration, and the experimental group was treated with orthodontics combined with oral restoration. The clinical efficacy, oral function, correction effect, adverse reactions and aesthetic satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was 95.65%, which was higher than 76.09% of the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the masticatory efficiency and language function scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (P <0.05). The scores of correction effect in each dimension of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 2.17%, which was lower than 17.39% in the control group (P <0.05). The aesthetic satisfaction of the experimental group was 97.83%, which was higher than 80.43% of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Orthodontic combined with oral restoration is effective in patients with dentition defect, which can effectively improve the masticatory function and language function of patients, improve the correction effect and aesthetic satisfaction of patients, and has good safety. It is worthy of clinical application.
