Abstract:Objective To study the effect of continuous self-care education on the improvement of anti-scar behavior ability of patients with deep second degree burn after discharge. Methods From January 2022 to June 2023, 80 patients with deep second degree burns diagnosed and treated in our hospital were divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the study group was given continuous self-care education. The coping style, anti-scar behavior ability, scar occurrence, quality of life and appearance satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of coping ability and anti-scar behavior ability scale in the study group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of scar in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the scar area was smaller than that in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of quality of life in the two groups after intervention were higher than those before intervention, and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The appearance satisfaction of the study group (92.50%) was higher than that of the control group (75.00%) (P <0.05). Conclusion Continuous self-care education for patients with deep second degree burns after discharge can improve coping style, enhance anti-scar behavior ability, reduce and alleviate scar formation, promote quality of life and appearance satisfaction, and has high application value.
