Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of unilateral autologous auricular cartilage scaffold in comprehensive rhinoplasty. Methods From February 2023 to February 2024, 80 patients who underwent comprehensive rhinoplasty in the Plastic Surgery Department of Shaanxi Hanzhong Jiabaili Medical Beauty Clinic were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with expanded polytetrafluoroethylene for comprehensive rhinoplasty, and the experimental group was treated with unilateral autologous auricular cartilage scaffold for comprehensive rhinoplasty. The nasal morphology, satisfaction and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The nasal dorsum length and nasal tip height of the experimental group were better than those of the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction rate of the experimental group was 97.50%, which was higher than 82.50% of the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the experimental group was 5.00%, which was lower than 20.00% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of unilateral autologous auricular cartilage scaffold in comprehensive rhinoplasty is effective, which can improve the length of nasal dorsum and the height of nasal tip, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve patient satisfaction.
