Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of oral muscle training-occlusion induction combined therapy on early correction of malocclusion in children and its effect on facial development. Methods From June 2022 to June 2023, 60 children with malocclusion were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 30 children in each group. The control group was treated with occlusal induction appliance, and the observation group was treated with oral muscle training+occlusal induction therapy. The facial aesthetic indexes, facial morphological indexes and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The masseter muscle thickness, R value in the observation group after treatment were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, SNA, SNB, N-Me, N-Ans and Ans-Me in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and ANB was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The satisfaction of the observation group was 100.00%, which was higher than 86.67% of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion In the early correction of malocclusion in children, the introduction of oral muscle training+occlusal induction intervention is conducive to the improvement of facial development and facial aesthetic indicators in children, and can also improve treatment satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical application.
