Abstract:Orthodontic treatment is an important method to correct malocclusion. In the process of orthodontic treatment, reasonable image evaluation is needed, but the traditional evaluation method can not meet the clinical needs. As a new imaging technique, cone beam CT (CBCT) has been widely used in the field of orthodontics in recent years. Its advantages include thin scanning layer, accurate imaging, low radiation dose and simple operation. In this paper, the application of CBCT in the field of orthodontics is discussed. Firstly, the working principle and advantages of CBCT are briefly summarized, and then the application of CBCT in the field of orthodontics is discussed in detail, in order to provide some reference for orthodontic treatment.
