Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of Herring's law in asymmetric bilateral ptosis correction. Methods From January 2022 to June 2023, 56 patients with asymmetric bilateral ptosis admitted to the Department of Medical Aesthetics, Beijing Fengtai You'anmen Hospital were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 28 patients in each group. All patients were treated with asymmetric bilateral ptosis correction. The control group was not treated with Herring's law during the operation. The observation group was treated with Herring's law during the operation. The satisfaction, improvement and cosmetic effect of the two groups were compared. Results The satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group at 3, 6 and 12 months after operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The degree of incomplete closure of the upper eyelid in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the amount of upper eyelid lifting was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The eyelid radian, eyelid height and double eyelid score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of Herring's law in asymmetric bilateral ptosis correction is effective, which can improve the symmetry of bilateral palpebral fissure height after operation and effectively improve the satisfaction of patients. It is worthy of clinical application.
