Abstract:Objective To explore the value of orthodontic combined with oral implantation in the treatment of dental defects. Methods A total of 80 patients with dentition defect admitted to Hanbin Mingli Dental Clinic from January 2021 to January 2024 were selected and divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received oral implant treatment, and the experimental group received orthodontic combined with oral implant treatment. The cosmetic effect, masticatory function, masticatory function and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The proportion of good adjacent relationship, comfortable occlusion and neat arrangement of teeth in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of masticatory function and pronunciation function in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Orthodontic combined with oral implantation for patients with dentition defect can improve the cosmetic effect, improve tooth function and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
