Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of bracketless invisible functional appliance in adolescent patients with skeletal class Ⅱ malocclusion. Methods From January 2021 to May 2022, 80 adolescent patients with class Ⅱ malocclusion admitted to Hu Miao Dental Clinic, Chaoyang District, Changchun City were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with fixed appliance, and the observation group was treated with bracketless invisible functional appliance. The maxillofacial indexes, degree of malocclusion deformity and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the SNA angle, SNB angle and MP-SN angle of the observation group were better than those of the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of anterior teeth coverage, anterior teeth overbite, molar occlusion and midline relationship in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction scores of appearance, comfort, occlusal function and convenience in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of bracketless invisible functional appliance in adolescent skeletal class Ⅱ malocclusion patients is effective, which can effectively improve the maxillofacial tissue morphology, reduce the performance of malocclusion, and improve patient satisfaction.
