Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of orthodontics combined with implant restoration on malocclusion and dentition defect and its effect on dental function and dental aesthetics. Methods A total of 90 patients with dentition defect and malocclusion admitted to Huahaiping Dental Clinic from July 2018 to May 2021 were selected and divided into observation group (45 patients) and control group (45 patients) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with implant restoration, and the observation group was treated with orthodontics combined with implant restoration. The clinical efficacy, tooth function, periodontal index, tooth aesthetics and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 91.11%, which was higher than 82.22% in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the masticatory function and language function of the observation group were better than those of the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the plaque adhesion index and soft dirt index in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The aesthetic degree of teeth in the observation group was 95.56 %, which was higher than 66.67% in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 0, which was lower than 13.33% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Orthodontic combined with implant restoration is effective in the treatment of malocclusion and dentition defect, which can improve tooth function and periodontal index, improve tooth aesthetics and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
