Facial contour shaping refers to the use of surgery or interventional therapy to increase, decrease and shape the bone and soft tissue of the face, so as to change the shape of the facial wheel. Hydroxyapatite, as the main inorganic component of human bones and teeth, shows significant advantages in the field of plastic surgery due to its excellent biocompatibility and safety. In this paper, a brief overview of hydroxyapatite in facial contouring technology is made, and the application scenarios of hydroxyapatite are analyzed, and its application advantages and limitations are discussed. On this basis, the future development trend and prospect of hydroxyapatite are prospected.
