Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of comprehensive nursing in dentition loss patients with complete denture restoration. Methods A total of 72 patients with dentition loss who underwent complete denture restoration in our hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 36 patients in each group. The control group was treated with routine nursing, and the observation group was treated with comprehensive nursing. The alveolar ridge absorption, quality of life, denture adaptability, denture retention and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The absorption degree of alveolar ridge in the anterior and posterior teeth of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The OHIP-14 score of the two groups after intervention was lower than that before intervention, and that of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The retention function score, masticatory function score, aesthetics and comfort score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P <0.05). The excellent and good rate of denture retention in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 97.22%, which was higher than 83.33% of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing has great value in improving oral health and quality of life in patients with complete denture restoration and dentition loss, which can reduce alveolar ridge absorption, promote the improvement of repair effect and oral function, and improve patients' comfort and nursing satisfaction.
