Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on teeth whitening and comfort of patients with fluorosis treated with YAG laser. Methods: The study subjects were 88 patients with fluorosis who received YAG laser treatment, selected from May 2024 to September 2025. The subjects were grouped using a random number table method, with 44 patients receiving routine nursing included in the control group and 44 patients receiving comprehensive nursing intervention included in the study group. The treatment efficacy, tooth sensitivity, comfort, changes in tooth aesthetics and function, and whitening satisfaction of two groups of patients were evaluated. Results: The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The sensitivity of teeth in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The study group had higher scores in terms of dental aesthetics and function compared to the control group (P<0.05). The study group showed a more prominent increase in comfort scores after intervention compared to the control group (P<0.05). The satisfaction with whitening in the study group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Comprehensive nursing interventions for patients with fluorosis treated with YAG laser can not only improve teeth whitening effect and patient comfort, but also reduce tooth sensitivity, better improve tooth aesthetics and function, and achieve high patient satisfaction. It is worthy of clinical recommendation.
