Abstract:Objective: To observe the application effect of the modified double-ring incision dermal mammary prosthesis technique in breast reduction and correction of ptosis. Methods: A total of 85 patients with breast hypertrophy and ptosis admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into the modified technique group (43 cases) and the traditional technique group (42 cases) by the random number table method. The traditional technique group was treated with conventional breast reduction surgery, while the modified technique group was treated with the modified double-ring incision dermal mammary prosthesis technique for breast reduction. The surgical-related indicators, breast shape scores, and complication rates were compared between the two groups. Results: The modified technique group had better surgical time, intraoperative blood loss, and hospital stay than the traditional technique group. The breast shape score was higher in the modified technique group, and the complication rate was lower than that in the traditional technique group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The modified double-ring incision dermal mammary prosthesis technique for breast reduction has a significant effect in correcting breast hypertrophy and ptosis, can optimize surgical indicators, improve breast shape, and reduce complications, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
