Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of autologous auricular cartilage transplantation combined with silicone prosthesis implantation in rhinoplasty. Methods A total of 93 patients who underwent rhinoplasty in the Department of Aesthetic Surgery, Xishang Medical Aesthetics Clinic from May 2020 to October 2024 were selected, and they were divided into the control group (n =45) and the experimental group (n =48) by the random number table method. The control group was treated with silicone prosthesis implantation, and the experimental group was treated with autologous auricular cartilage transplantation combined with silicone prosthesis implantation. The nasal shape, satisfaction and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the nasal bridge height, nasal bridge width and nasal tip projection of the experimental group were better than those of the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction score of the experimental group was (8.58±0.72)points, which was higher than (7.64±0.70)points of the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the experimental group (8.33%) was lower than that in the control group (24.44%) (P <0.05). Conclusion The application effect of autologous auricular cartilage transplantation combined with silicone prosthesis implantation in rhinoplasty is superior to that of simple silicone prosthesis implantation. It can effectively improve the nasal shape, help to improve patient satisfaction, and has a low incidence of complications, which is worthy of clinical application.
