Abstract:Objective :To investigate the effect of modified platelet-rich fibrin (A-PRF) combined with Bio-oss bone powder on the restoration and reconstruction of bone defect in immediate dental implantation. Methods: From October 2022 to October 2023, 80 patients with immediate dental implantation in Zhuhai Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine were randomly divided into two groups. The control group (n=40) was filled with Bio-oss bone powder, and the research group (n=40) was filled with A-PRF combined with Bio-oss bone powder. The postoperative bone mass related indexes, periodontal indexes and oral health impact scores of the two groups were compared. Results :Six months after operation, the middle labial bone mass and coronal labial bone mass in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05), and the height of alveolar ridge was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The probing depth of periodontal pocket (PD), clinical attachment loss (AL), gingival bleeding index (BI), plaque index (PI) and gingival index (GI) in the study group were lower than those in the control group 6 months after operation (P < 0.05). The scores of oral function limitation, physiological pain, physiological disorder, social disorder, psychological disorder, psychological discomfort and physical and mental defects in the study group were lower than those in the control group 6 months after operation (P < 0.05). Conclusion: A-PRF combined with Bio-oss bone powder filling can improve the changes of bone mass and periodontal related indexes after immediate dental implantation, reduce the influence of oral health on their daily life, and promote the repair and reconstruction of bone defects.
