Objective To explore the clinical effect of the improved cosmetic suture technique in the treatment of facial skin and soft tissue injuries. Methods: Time span: From January 2023 to September 2025, 60 patients with facial skin and soft tissue injuries who visited the plastic surgery department of our hospital were randomly divided into two groups by lottery, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional suture techniques, while the observation group was treated with modified cosmetic suture techniques. The wound healing conditions, scar formation conditions and satisfaction with facial morphology and function of the two groups were compared. Results: The rate of primary postoperative healing in the observation group was 96.67%, which was higher than 76.67% in the control group (P < 0.05); The scar width in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The satisfaction of facial morphology and function in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The improved cosmetic suture technique has played a role in the treatment of facial skin and soft tissue injuries, maximizing the restoration of facial morphology and function, improving the quality of wound healing, and reducing scar formation. It has clinical promotion value.
