Abstract:Objective:To assess the effect of a rehabilitation model integrating conceptual reconstruction, cognitive management, encouragement, education, exercise, work, and evaluation (CRCM-EWE) on patients after facial burn scar reconstruction. Methods:From January 2023 to December 2025, 60 patients undergoing such reconstruction were randomized to an observation group (n=30, receiving the CRCM-EWE model) or a control group (n=30, receiving routine care). Post-intervention comparisons were made for scar status, psychological state, and quality of life. Results:The observation group showed significantly better scores than the control group on the Vancouver Scar Scale (total and subscales), Self-rating Anxiety Scale, and Self-rating Depression Scale (all P<0.05). It also demonstrated superior scores in the physical functioning, role-emotional, and social functioning dimensions of quality of life (all P<0.05).Conclusion:The CRCM-EWE model effectively improves scar appearance, alleviates negative emotions, and enhances quality of life in these patients, warranting clinical promotion.
