Abstract:Objective: To analyze the efficacy of 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) photodynamic therapy combined with interferon gel topical treatment in patients with facial flat warts. Methods: A total of 300 patients with facial flat warts who visited our hospital from January 2024 to June 2025 were selected. They were equally divided into the study group (ALA photodynamic therapy combined with recombinant human interferon gel topical treatment) and the control group (routine care), with n=150 in each group. The treatment effects, skin barrier function, incidence of adverse reactions, and cosmetic satisfaction were compared between the groups. Results: The study group exhibited superior efficacy, skin barrier function, and cosmetic satisfaction compared to the control group (P<0.05); however, there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: ALA photodynamic therapy combined with interferon gel topical treatment can enhance the therapeutic effect in patients with facial flat warts, improve facial assessment function and cosmetic satisfaction, and demonstrate good safety.
