【】Objective: To explore the effect comparison between prefabricated fiber post and metal casting post for large area defect of anterior teeth. Methods: Eighty patients with large area defect of anterior teeth who were treated in the Department of Stomatology of Jiangyin People"s Hospital from June 2022 to December 2024 were included in this study. They were randomly divided into two groups, with 40 cases in the reference group and 40 cases in the experimental group. The restoration effect, periodontal index, aesthetic score and adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results: The experimental group was superior to the reference group in edge fit, restoration integrity and color matching (P < 0.05). The GI and SBI of the experimental group were lower than those of the reference group, and the PES score was higher than that of the reference group, P < 0.05; The incidence of adverse events in the experimental group was lower than that in the reference group, P < 0.05. Conclusion: Compared with metal casting post, prefabricated fiber post is more effective in repairing large area defect of anterior teeth, which can effectively prevent adverse events, improve periodontal index and improve oral aesthetics.Keywords:Large area defect of anterior teeth; Preformed fiber pile; Metal casting pile
