Abstract:Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of hydroquinone cream combined with medical skincare products in the treatment of facial hyperpigmentation.? Methods: A total of 60 patients with facial hyperpigmentation treated from March 2025 to March 2026 were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method. The control group received topical hydroquinone cream, while the observation group was additionally treated with hyaluronic acid repair dressing. Clinical efficacy, Melasma Area and Severity Index (MASI), skin barrier function indicators, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.? Results: The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the MASI score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Transepidermal water loss in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, while stratum corneum hydration was higher (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).? Conclusion: Hydroquinone cream combined with medical skincare products can significantly improve the treatment efficacy of facial hyperpigmentation, reduce pigmentation severity, enhance skin barrier function, and decrease the incidence of adverse reactions, demonstrating good safety and clinical value.
