Abstract:As a non-invasive modality for facial rejuvenation, microfocused ultrasound (MFU) has been widely applied in clinical practice. Its primary mechanism involves the delivery of focused ultrasonic energy to the dermis and the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS), inducing immediate collagen fiber contraction while also promoting long-term collagen remodeling after treatment. Owing to its unique ability to target deeper tissue layers compared with other non-invasive therapeutic approaches, MFU has gained considerable popularity among individuals seeking anti-aging treatments.
