Objective:Exploring the clinical value of combining orthodontic treatment with implant restoration in the management of malocclusion accompanied by dentition defects.Methods：Using a random number table method, 60 patients with malocclusion and dental defects treated in the hospital (January 2024 January 2025) were divided into two groups, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received implant restoration therapy; the observation group received additional orthodontic treatment on top of the treatment regimen used in the control group. Compare the oral function and aesthetics of two groups before and after treatment [red aesthetic index (PES), white aesthetic index (WES)], and calculate the total effective rate of the two groups" treatment.Results: The total effective rate of clinical treatment was higher in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, all oral function scores in the observation group were higher after treatment (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the observation group had higher PES and WES scores after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion: For patients with malocclusion accompanied by dentofacial defects, the combined use of orthodontic treatment and implant restoration can effectively restore occlusal function and facial aesthetics, thereby enhancing the overall efficacy of clinical orthodontic intervention.
