Abstract:Objective To analyze the application effect of orthodontics combined with implant-supported denture restoration in malocclusion accompanied by dentition defect. Methods A total of 64 patients with malocclusion accompanied by dentition defect treated in our hospital from January to December 2025 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the study group by the random number table method, with 32 patients in each group. The control group received implant-supported denture restoration, and the study group received orthodontics combined with implant-supported denture restoration. The alveolar bone height, dental function, soft tissue changes and adverse reaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results The alveolar bone height in the study group after treatment was better than that in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of dental function in the study group after treatment were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The soft tissue indicators in the study group after treatment were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group (3.13%) was lower than that in the control group (21.88%) (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of orthodontics combined with implant-supported denture restoration for patients with malocclusion accompanied by dentition defect can effectively improve alveolar bone height and dental function, with good soft tissue repair effect and high safety.
