Abstract:Objective:? To investigate the clinical efficacy of recombinant collagen dressing (RCD) on the erythema index (EI) and skin barrier function in patients with sensitive skin. Methods:? 80 patients with sensitive skin accompanied by erythema were randomly divided into a treatment group (n=40) and a control group (n=40). The control group received basic moisturizing guidance and normal saline wet compress, while the treatment group was additionally treated with topical RCD twice daily for 4 weeks. Changes in EI, overall response rate, transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and stratum corneum hydration (SCH) were compared. Results:? After 4 weeks, the treatment group showed significantly lower EI and TEWL, alongside higher overall response rate and SCH compared to the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion:? RCD effectively reduces the erythema index, repairs skin barrier function, decreases TEWL, and increases SCH, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
