Objective To explore the application value of ultra-thin ceramic veneers in aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth. Methods A total of 100 patients who received aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth in Afffliated Stomatological Hospital of NMU from January 2024 to January 2025 were selected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group was treated with conventional all-ceramic veneers, and the observation group received ultra-thin ceramic veneers. The periodontal indexes, aesthetic effect, quality of life and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of PLI and GI in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The effective rates of dentition integrity, natural tooth color, tooth translucency and natural marginal appearance in the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of all dimensions of quality of life in the observation group after treatment were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group (4.00%) was lower than that of the control group (18.00%) (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of ultra-thin ceramic veneers in aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth can reduce the incidence of complications, improve periodontal indexes, and enhance aesthetic effect and patients' quality of life.
