Abstract:Objective To compare the aesthetic effects of Bioclear? matrix combined with nano-composite resin and minimally invasive ultra-thin veneer restoration in patients with anterior tooth defect or interproximal space. Methods A total of 80 patients (98 affected teeth) suffering from anterior tooth defect or interproximal space treated in Liuzhou Municipal Liutie Central Hospital from January 2024 to June 2025 were selected, and they were divided into group B (40 patients, 48 affected teeth) and group V (40 patients, 50 affected teeth) by the random number table method. Group B was repaired with Bioclear? matrix combined with nano-composite resin, and group V was repaired with minimally invasive ultra-thin ceramic veneer. The clinical efffcacy, aesthetic effect, periodontal health indicators and single-tooth operation time were compared between the two groups. Results There was no signiffcant difference in total effective rate between the two groups (P>0.05). The color matching score and total score of group V were higher than those of group B (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in restoration integrity and marginal discoloration between the two groups (P>0.05). At 6 months after treatment, the PLI, SBI and GI of group B were lower than those of group V (P<0.05). The average operation time of single tooth in group B was shorter than that of group V (P<0.05). Conclusion For anterior tooth defect or interproximal space, minimally invasive ultra-thin ceramic veneer has superior performance in color matching, whereas Bioclear? matrix combined with nano-composite resin achieves better periodontal health maintenance and higher treatment efffciency. Both restoration methods obtain satisfactory clinical efffcacy, with favorable restoration integrity and minimal marginal discoloration.
